The Hindu Culture Maintain Centre was started on 4 September 1999 to serve the spiritual and cultural needs of the large Hindu population in Sweden. The temple was founded on 26 January 2000 with financial assistance from Denmark Mataji Upasaki and donations from many other Hindu devotees who continue to give their support for the development of the temple. Currently 120 Hindu families (500 members) contribute for the temple operations and maintenance.
